MT. WHITNEY CLIMB - JULY 13-16, 2007
On July 13th, 2007, Leslie Maltz and veteran bootcamper, Steve Eisner set out with 3 others to ascend Mt. Whitney. They started at Cottonwood Pass and hiked an average of 12 miles per day for 3 days - reaching Mt. Whitney summit at 9:45am on Monday, July 16th. With no less than 45 lbs. on their backs, and 40 miles hiked, all 5 descended the tallest peak on the continent at 5:30pm, or shortly thereafter, on Monday, June 16th (Day 4). Steve Eisner - Encino, Leslie Maltz - Sherman Oaks, John Ondrasik - Encino, Kirt Kingzett - Sherman Oaks and Jack Mohn - Las Vegas.
